Movers & Shakers

Hello, Everyone!! I hope you’re having a fabulous day! Today I am super excited to announce a project that I have been working on since May.

For the past 5-6 months, I have been emailing, meeting up with and filming some awesome creatives in my area. At the same time, I’ve learned more about them, their craft, what drives them to create, and what it’s like to be an entrepreneur juggling a 9am to 5pm while pursuing their passions from 5pm to 9am.

It was from there I decided to create a video series called Movers & Shakers. The point of this video series is to get the perspective of these creatives as they are in the beginning stages of their companies and to get a real take on entrepreneurship… not all the fluffy, fun, I make millions of dollars stuff.

Also, I wanted them to have videos that they could use to promote themselves on their socials as well as their websites.

I also wanted to use this opportunity to work on my video editing, storytelling, and overall filmmaking skills. This was my first time consistently editing on Adobe’s Premiere Pro, as well as understanding my Sony a5100’s settings, such as ISO, frame rate, shutter speed, aperture and much much more.

Finally, I wanted to let you guys in on some awesome creatives, what they do and all that jazz so that you can support them. But also, so that you’ll hear about them before they blow up and go on to be super successful, I know they all will.

So without further ado, here is the trailer to Movers & Shakers season one.

Every Wednesday at 8am in November, there will be a  Movers & Shakers blog post and video going up, so get excited! The first one will be next Wednesday, November 8th, and will feature Sheena Shahangian, a photographer whose work you have already seen featured on this blog. To see her work, as well as read my other corresponding blog post about her click here.

If you’re excited about this mini-series, please comment down below and let me know what you think. Also, this is just season one, and I would love to continue filming. If you know a talented creative with a great story to share and one who could benefit from getting their story told through video please comment down below or seek me out on all socials (I’m @sydneyumeri everywhere) and let me know!

I’m so excited for what’s to come, and I’m glad I can bring you all along with me.

As always, if you liked this blog post, please share it on social media and subscribe so that you never miss a post.

Until next time, get up, get moving, and live your best life!
